At WWDC 2021 event, Apple also unveiled macOS 12 known as macOS Monterey. Most notable feature of macOS Monterey is continuity. Apple demonstrated how your files will be available across multiple Apple devices.

One of the most exciting feature is Universal Control. It allows users share a single keyboard in mouse across multiple Apple devices that are close proximity. If you have an iPad near to iMac running macOS 12 Monterey, you can move your mouse to the edge of your iMac’s screen in the direction of iPad. If you further push the mouse, your curer will move off the iMad and will appear on your iPad. You can then use keyboard and mouse on iPad.

You can drag and drop files across multiple devices. SO, you can quickly drop files from your iPad to iMac or iPhone and vice versa.

The Shortcuts app from iOS is also coming to latest macOS. It allows users set up custom shortcuts and routines. You can later access these routines from Siri, the Finder, the Dock, and other areas

Safari is getting a redesign. Tabs are getting smaller and you can now organise tabs into groups. Safari will now auto update tab groups across all your devices. The browser can now adapt the color scheme of whatever website you are visiting.

Many iOS 15 features will also be added to macOS Monterey. For example spatial audio features in FaceTime calls, Shared with You section of different apps, Focus, Notes and more. The macOS Monterey will also feature a “Shared with You” dearie that will collect all the photos, videos, and other media shared with you on iMessage.
