Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL Launched in India starting at 71,000 INR

Google has launched its much awaited and most leaked smartphones Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL feature a larger screen than last year’s models. Pixel 3 features a 5.5-inch 2280 x 1080 OLED display while pixel 3XL features a 6.3-inch 2960 x 1440 OLED display. In terms of look, both the phones look exactly like their direct predecessors.

Both the phones are all wrapped in metal and glass with a circular fingerprint sensor on the back. The top side of the back panel is glass houses camera. The aluminum body also features some squeezable gestures called Active Edge.

Performance

The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 with Adreno 630 GPU and 4GB RAM. The combination is same in both Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL.

It has Google Assistant and Google as a core part of the software. Google Assistant cam now report the spam calls and let you decide if you want to block or get a reminder to call back. Google Photos will include same full resolution unlimited storage as previous Pixel phones have.

Camera

Google is still using the single camera sensor on both the phones even if other companies have moved to dual camera setup. It has 12.2 megapixels rear camera with f/1.8 aperture. But both the phones have dual front camera setup, each with an 8-megapixel sensor, where one is for a wider field of view for group selfies.

For the first time, Pixel phones are supporting wireless charging. Google has also introduced its own charging stand called Pixel Stand. It is an optional accessory.

Pricing

Pixel 3 starts at Rs. 71000 in India. Here is the list of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL models

  • Pixel 3 (64GB): Rs. 71,000
  • Pixel 3 (128GB): Rs. 80,000
  • Pixel 3 XL (64GB): Rs. 83,000
  • Pixel 3 XL (128GB): Rs. 92,000

Google also confirmed the price of Pixel Stand. It will cost Rs. 6900. Both the phones will be available for pre-order from Thursday, 11th October 2018 on Flipkart, Airtel’s online store, and at offline partners including Reliance Digital, Croma and other leading stores across India. The phone will go on sale from 1st November 2018.
