Stratasys India and Accreate Labs has launched a new Additive Manufacturing services site using Stratasys 3D printers. A unique combination of expertise in aerospace, defense, and healthcare markets makes this one of the first, end-to-end 3D design and additive manufacturing labs in India.

Leveraging the Fortus 450mc Production 3D Printer and the Objet500 Connex3, Accreate Labs is committed to enhancing the effectiveness of medical education, reducing post-surgery trauma and improving overall surgical outcomes. In aerospace and defense, the company is focused on fulfilling operational needs in drone technologies.

“It is our view that Accreate Labs is well positioned to be at the forefront of design and engineering innovation in India,” said Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director- India & SEA, Stratasys. “The aerospace, defense and healthcare industries will now have access to unique 3D printing solutions and expertise that they haven’t before.”

“We believe that Stratasys is the best-in-class. Industry-grade 3D Printing manufacturer.  Stratasys has some of the world’s leading medical institutions using their technology and this was a good reference point for us to bring their innovation to clients in India,” mentioned Ravi Shankar S N, Managing Director, Accreate Labs.

Accreate Labs has already begun work to reduce the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) across India with a 3D printed smart mannequin aimed at bridging the skills gap in detecting fetus anomalies in ultrasound scans. The Lab is also working on next-generation 3D printed prosthetics in collaboration with a leading medical university in Karnataka.

In aerospace and defense, Accreate Labs has acquired a patent for an extendible range, multi-mission smart drone. It also plans to develop custom engineered smart drones to meet specific mission objectives. Ravi Seshadri, CEO and lead inventor of this patented invention said “There are far too many unmet needs amongst defense forces when it comes to drone technology. Our innovations will help bridge these gaps.”
